In October of 1962, I left North Highlands HS, dropping out of the 11th grade and joining the Army...was discharged in 1965. Subsequently, I worked my way through college, graduating from Sacramento State College (Calif State University) in 1972. During this time I worked Civil Service at McClellan AFB, then went to work for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHEW)in Dallas.

Children are presently (2001) 33, 31, and 14 years of age and I have one grandchild who is 3.
UPDATE: After retiring, I owned two Great Earth Vitamin franchises for about 11 years, and started a general contracting business, which I built a few houses.
As of this date: 6-10-2008 I am completely retired, other than some limited consulting. I presently live in Lubbock, TX where my youngest son (now 20) is attending Texas Tech University as a business major.
